Ashley GortonRegistered Osteopath
My passion for osteopathy began through my own experience as a runner. After seeing first-hand how osteopathic treatment helped me recover and return to the sport I love, I became fascinated by its ability to keep people active and pain free. That passion has only grown as I’ve seen the positive impact osteopathy can have on people from all walks of life, helping them return to the activities that matter most to them.
I graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2021, where I developed a particular interest in sports injuries and headache management through specialist clinics. Since qualifying, I have continued to build on my skills by completing further training in dry needling, shockwave therapy, and laser therapy. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients, from European golfers and elite Hyrox athletes to rugby players, runners, and people simply looking to move comfortably again. I also work closely with leading consultants to ensure patients receive the most appropriate care when additional expertise is needed. I treat patients aged eight years and above. Outside of the clinic, sport remains a big part of my life. I previously competed in the 400m and 800m, training alongside some of the UK’s top athletes. These days, you’ll usually find me playing golf or football, or enjoying time outdoors. For me, the greatest reward of being an osteopath is helping people regain confidence in their bodies and return to the activities they enjoy, whether that’s sport, family life, or everyday movement. Being part of that journey is what makes the profession so rewarding. |
Emma Billen
Registered Osteopath
Emma graduated from the University of Derby with a Bachelor of Osteopathy and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
She treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular interest in women’s health. Her experience covers everything from chronic conditions such as endometriosis, through pregnancy and post-natal care, to supporting women through the menopause. As a mum of three, Emma understands first-hand the physical demands that pregnancy and motherhood can place on the body. She is passionate about helping women recover, rebuild strength and movement, and feel like themselves again. Before becoming an osteopath, Emma worked as a baby and toddler swimming instructor and provided aqua-natal yoga sessions for pregnant women. It was through this work that she first discovered osteopathy and saw the benefits it could offer to the women attending her classes. Emma still enjoys swimming and is also a keen climber. Lizzie ShakinovskyChartered Physiotherapist
Lizzie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2003 (BSc, Southampton University), before deepening her expertise with an MSc in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from King's College London in 2009, and a qualification in Musculoskeletal Acupuncture (AACP) in 2012.
Her first eleven years were spent within leading NHS teaching hospitals, working across the full breadth of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Since returning to Surrey in 2014, she has built a trusted reputation within private practice - bringing the same rigour and care to every patient she sees. Shoulders have always held a special fascination for her, and this clinic represents the realisation of a long-held ambition: a space devoted entirely to its diagnosis and rehabilitation. All conditions including, but not limited to, instability, sporting injuries, arthritis and post operative rehabilitation. Beyond the clinic, Lizzie is a qualified Pilates instructor with the APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute), running weekly Mat and 3D Standing Pilates classes in Virginia Water. She's a mother of two, and when she's not working, you'll find her walking the dog, on the tennis court, or on the pilates mat herself. |
Mark Woollard
Taking some time away!
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner
Mark David Woollard is the L.E.D & MLD Specialist, having joined this marvellous industry back in 2004 when he started his training in Swedish massage. At first he was doing it as his ‘back up' career as he wanted to be an actor. But before he knew it, he’d fallen in love with holistic therapy and well-being and now it has been his full time career for nearly twenty five years! After catching 'the bug', he trained in Indian head massage, reflexology, facials, reiki, deep tissue, hot stone and lymphatic drainage massage.
The list goes on! He keeps adding new qualifications to his extensive repertoire every year as he strives not to become stagnant and to keep learning. As the old adage goes, "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!" And there's nothing more powerful than complementary medicine. It makes him feel old that he’s been treating some of his clients for over fifteen years! He loves nothing more than seeing the joy on a client's face after every single treatment.

Mark is currently away from the clinic
Mark has stepped away from the treatment room for a little while to take some time for himself — although, being a Dragon, we prefer to imagine he’s found a quiet cave somewhere and is having a well-earned rest on a particularly comfortable pile of gold.
He isn’t currently available for appointments and we don’t yet have a date for his return, but the door at Dragon is very much open and we hope to see him back with us in the future.
In the meantime, the rest of the Dragon team are here and happy to help.
